Innovative Solutions Protect Vulnerable Coast of Gambia

In recent years, climate change and over-development have threatened land in coastal Gambia traditionally used for rice farming. The disappearance of arable land hit women hardest, as rice cultivation was a traditional livelihood activity for Gambian women. Now, organizations are working to develop alternative livelihoods for Gambian women in five vulnerable coastal towns. Read more about their innovative solutions here!
