The Invisible 10 Million: Unbanked America

Most Americans take their credit and debit cards for granted. Maybe they shouldn’t. According to a recent article on Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight blog, there are 10 million “unbanked” households in the United States. Who are the unbanked and why are so many of them shopping at Walmart?
